Thread updated

Hidan no Aria 17 is the biggest selling new volume this week, with 46349 sales in 5 days. Volume 15 is the most recent comparable volume, with 46852 sales in the same number of days. Nice and consistant there, although that was after a drop from previous volumes.

Infinite Stratos 9 sold 45631. Volume 8 sold more than 83k in the same number of days. That's a drop of 45%. Volume 8's final sales were 45% lower than volume 7's as well.

On the other hand, No Game No Life's sales of 36257 is a 172% increase on volume 5. It is from 5 days rather than 3, but that's kind of irrelevant when talking about that sort of size growth. That is one huge anime boost.

OreGairu volume 9 becomes the fourth volume from the series with >100k sales, the third highest in ranking (having overtaken vol 8), the second to do so before dropping out the rankings (after vol 8), and the first to get there on week 2.

Sword Art Online 14 adds 27827 sales to 254338.

Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance vol 13 sells 27340 in 5 days. Volume 11 sold 32929 in the same number.

HenNeko vol 8 sells 22813 in 5 days. Volume 7 sold 25348 in 4. It seems the anime boost is wearing off.

Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou 10 sells 20324 to total 60635.

Tokyo ravens 11 adds 16.8k to total 33.4k after 9 days, slightly more than 10k over vol 10's sales after the same number of days.

Seikoku no Dragonar 15 sells 16768 in 5 days. The last comparable volume is 13 which actually sold 18334 in the same number of days. However, anime boosts for series this long usually don't kick in straight away - look at Tokyo Ravens, with its boost coming in volume 11 rather than volume 10 - and this series is considerably longer than that one, meaning you would expect the boost to come later.

Kagerou Days 5 adds 16268 to 293292. It's passed the sales of volume 4 at the end of last (calendar) year, doing in one month what that took four to achieve.

Oda Nobuna no Yabou 11 adds 16197 to 30.6k sales after 9 days. I'm not sure how comparable this volume is to previous ones, with the last volume having sold 43.7k in as many days - this one is a lot less front-loaded though.

Hachinantte, Sore wa nai deshou! sells 13310 in 5 days. First volume.

Mahouka 13 adds 13k to just over 142k. Just 3k away from the top spot of volumes for the series that have not reranked as a result of the anime - the current record holder for this being volume 8. If it ranks next week, it'll take that spot. Either way, it's overtaken Index NT volume 9 for 7th bestselling volume of the year so far.

No Game No Life vol 1 adds 11893 to 40539 sales this year to date. Will it get to 50k sales this year when next week's rankings come out?

No Game No Life vol 2 sells 11207 to 34030 total this year. This is a bit anime boost.

Magika no Kenshi to Vasreus vol 5 becomes the last of 7 MF Bunko volumes to sell >10k in their first week, with 10918 sales in 5 days. Volume 4 sold 10973 in the same number of days so nice and steady sales there.

No Game No Life vol 3 becomes the last of the volumes selling >10k this week, with 10075 sales. It's now on 28302 sales this year.

Gate Self-defence Forces Kare no Jinite, Kaku Tatakaeri Gaiden vol 3 adds 9670 to 21007 sales.

Owarimonogatari pt 3 adds 9421 to 158960 sales. Just 3k or so below the reported sales of part 2 now.

Manga de Wakaru Nanatsu no Shuukan has been removed from the list.

No Game No Life vol 5 gains 8669 sales to 17689 this year, or a little over 60k in total.

No Game No Life vol 4 gains 8622 sales to 17723 this year.

Kagerou Days vol 1 adds 8474 sales to 90048 year to date. It needs 24k more to enter the top 10 on the all time list.

Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata 6 sells 16795 total after 9 days. Volume 4 (the last comparable one) sold 16540 in the same number.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei vol 1 adds 7535 to 264909 total, or 36847 this year.

Mahouka vol 2 adds 7503 to 232310 total, or 28150 this year. It seems Mahouka's boost to the early volumes is waning.

late update again as I wanted an early night last night.

Kurobasu replace 5 sells 85344 in 4 days. Volume 4 sold 110k in the same number of days.

KanColle chinjufu seikatsu no susume 3 becomes the bestselling KanColle volume of the year to date, with 28642. That's still a long way down on a couple of things from last year though.

Infinite Stratos 9 manages to be the top selling actual light novel this week, adding 17k to 63543. The previous two volumes were past 100k by now.

It does, though, overtake the sales of Hidan no Aria 17, which gains 16k to 62452.

Both these volumes pass 50k sales, which No Game No Life volume 6 doesn't quite manage. It should get there next week, though.

Where volume 6 fails, though, volume 1 has succeeded, passing 50k sales for the year to date.

The top selling volume of the year to date that came out in a previous year, Kagerou Days volume 1, passes 100k sales for the year to date. It's nearly in the top 10 all time.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei 13 becomes the first volume of the series to pass 150k without reranking. All the old volumes are now no longer in the rankings, though.

Owarimonogatari 3 overtakes Owarimonogatari 2.

Index NT 10 sells just over 60k in 2 days. Nothing truly comparable recently so we'll have to wait for next week for that - although volume 1 sold 77k in 3 days.

Kurobasu replace narrowly misses out on the top spot for a second week, adding 58k sales to a tad under 144k.

Hataraku Maou-sama 11 sells 34751 in 2 days. Volume 9 sold 29k in the same number of days.

Eromanga-sensei vol 2 sells 18479 in 2 days. No real comparison possible here - the first volume sold 33550 in 6 days.

Kagerou Days 5 adds 14k to 323285.

SAO adds 12110 to 282k

No Game No Life 1 adds 12038 to 63.5k sales this year. Getting dangerously close to the 100k sales that we have data for mark. I guess I'm just going to have to add it with a portion of the data missing when it gets there. It won't be the only series in that situation.

This also means that volume 1 has overtaken the weekly sales of volume 6, which adds 11238 this week to 59k. Volumes 2 and 3 also gain over 10k, but volumes 4 and 5 are in the 9k region.

Infinite Stratos continues to fail to pull off a big recovery. Although its week 3 sales are rather higher than volume 8's, its total sales are still lower. If it gets a bigger tail, though, it could pull of similar numbers. If it ranks in the year end list, which is looking increasingly doubtful.

OreGairu 9 is now just 1.3k sales away from overtaking volume 6 as the bestselling volume of the series, as it adds 7844 this week. Will it get there next week or will it have to wait for the half-year sales figures?

Talking of bestselling volumes, mahouka 13 continues to strive slowly upwards. Obviously, this isn't the highest seller on the list, but that's only because of volumes 1-4 having reranked because of the anime airing.

Speaking of which, volume 3 reranks in 50th place, adding another 20k or so sales since it last ranked on 20th April.

Oh, and 4 years after release, Bannou Kanteishi Q no Jikenbo volume 1 has reranked, making its first entry in the 100k+ sellers with a total of 264565 sales. Like you do.

Half year list has been added to the all time sales figures. As usual it has not been added to the yearly sales.

Kagerou Days 4 is now missing data from 11-17th November 2013. Kagerou Days 2 and 3 have not been changed, as the maximum definite sales including the half year data is lower than the latest figure from the weekly rankings.

As expected, OreGairu volume 9 became it's bestselling volume from just 1 week of extra sales.

Updated.

No Game No Life vol 3 didn't make the rankings this week. The anime boost is starting to wear off.

The 2014 yearly list has been extended to show all volumes with sales of ≽30k.

Note: I may not update the all time lists for the next couple of weeks. This is because I am in the process of making some changes which require me to go back over everything and basically redo the list from scratch - so I'll be putting things on the new rankings, rather than the old ones. The annual list will be updated as usual, though.

I've updated the yearly data for the past 2 weeks.

I've also added a part 3, which will eventually replace part 2. This will contain all sales data above 30k sales that we have records of, and also adds the number of days between the series release date and it first ranking. The data is currently incomplete and the format is not particularly user-friendly, so I'm keeping it in spoiler tags for the time being. It's there to look at if you want to, though.

List updated.

The old 100k+ ranking list has now been shifted to part 3, with the new one moved to part 2. The old one will likely be removed with next week's update.

The new ranking list has been updated so that it now contains all weekly data back to when MAL started recording it. It does not include data from before then (which will be added later) or any data from yearly/half-yearly rankings (which should be added with next week's update).
I have also changed the layout very slightly to make things more clear, by adding brackets around the number of days the volume's data covers. More of these will be added in future weeks.
You may notice that there are currently two entries for Juuni Kokuki volume 12. I am aware of this, it is queried, and will be resolved. Eventually. It really isn't that big of an issue, though.

There may still be typos or inaccuracies on the list.

Link addition is progressing, but given the way I've done it, I'd rather not add them until I have got more of the volumes on there.
