According to the following AlphaPolis tweet:

They will be holding an AlphaPolice Fair from 21/6 to 31/7, which will show male oriented light novels and Regina Books titles (Regina Books is a female oriented light novel label).

This means that many/most/maybe even all? light novel titles published by AlphaPolis, but not under a certain label, are male oriented light novels:

Male oriented titles include:
Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu

Tsutaya is also listing light novels from the new label "Alpha Light Bunko" under shounen light novels:

Both 7netshopping and Tsutaya online stores are mentioning "Alpha Light Bunko" light novels as "shounen". The label is a male oriented light novel label and will be mentioned on the and ComiPedia as so.

BOOK☆WALKER, a subsidiary of Kadokawa Group, is not mentioning Fujimi L Bunko under any target readership (since it's not solely aimed at males or females):

Kadokawa's brand company "Fujimi Shobo" is the publisher of the Fujimi L Bunko light novels. "Fujimi L Bunko" is a general label that's aimed at an adult audience (both males and females).

(02-05-2014, 09:11 PM)SamZ Wrote: The following label will be added soon:

Publisher: Fujimi Shobo

Fujimi L Bunko
Entertainment novel label that's aimed at a general adult audience, and contains fantasy, light mystery, etc... works (without adult content). The stories don't stick to the literature and light novel frameworks. The "L" in the label's name is an initial for "Literary novel" and "Light novel". The label started on June 14th, 2014 with the release of 5 volumes.

Release Date: Monthly; 15th
Circulation: 2014/06 - ?

Though "Fujimi L Bunko" is mentioned to be a label aimed at adults (without any adult content).

The label is particularly aimed at adult females:

The label is mentioned as "Romance again for the literature girl who became an adult".

Though it is weird that the "Fujimi L Bunko" light novel volumes are not mentioned as aimed at females on "BOOK☆WALKER" (subsidiary of Kadokawa Group), but the "DA VINCI" literary magazine that's published by Media Factory (Kadokawa Media Factory brand), is mentioning it as so on its website:

I think this is more than enough to prove that it is aimed at adult females, and so the label will be updated as so across websites (ComiPedia,, and

Light novel labels will be added/updated across sites... will update appropriate threads once done.

Shinchosha will be starting a new novel label on the 100th anniversary of the "Shincho Bunko" (新潮文庫) novel label.

Some info about the upcoming label:

Publisher: Shinchosha

新潮文庫nex (新潮文庫ネックス)
Shincho Bunko nex
A character's literature where the theme is a fusion between "character" and "story". The lineup is described as a next generation lineup and consists of original stories. The label was launched on the 100th anniversary of the "Shincho Bunko" label. It started on August 28th, 2014 with the release of 6 light novel volumes.

Circulation: 2014/08 - ?

Though the label is illustrated but according to the following tweet from the official twitter account for the new label, the label is not a light novel label:

The first upcoming lineup contains various genres of mystery, SF, horror, fantasy, and youth novel. Works will be deployed in the same counter/shelf as the "Shincho Bunko" novels.

The first upcoming lineup, which will be released on August 28th, features works by popular light novel authors and illustrators:

Such as:
Yuyuko Takemiya (author of: Toradora! and Golden Time)
Sai Yukino (author of Saiunkoku Monogatari)
En Mikami (author of Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou)
Hagu Koshijima (illustrator of Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou)

So, it's illustrated, and popular light novel authors are writing works for the first lineup, so is it a light novel label?

Well, it might be, some have mentioned that it might be a label that's somewhere between a general novel label and a light novel label, like the "Media Works Bunko" novel label.

So, is it going to be added to the LNDB/ComiPedia websites?

Even though the publisher denies it's a light novel label, but if enough fans and light novel related websites mention works from this new upcoming label as light novels, then it most likely will be added.

An official website has opened for the upcoming light novel label "Monster Bunko":

The label will start on July 30th, 2014 with the release of 3 light novel volumes (which can be seen in the above link).

Judging by cover alone, I would say this is an upcoming male oriented light novel label, but we'll have to wait and see what either the publisher itself and/or online stores mention the label as.
